Gabbard Memorial Health ClinicClients served at the Gabbard Clinic in 2012
The Dr. James Gabbard Memorial Health Clinic is a free primary care medical clinic staffed by generous volunteer doctors and nurses from the community. The clinic provides medical exams, vision exams, and dental exams. In addition to performing these exams, the clinic provides medications and works with the local Lion's Club to supply eyewear. The clinic also focuses on referring clients to more permanent medical homes and enrolling them in public assistance programs.

Loaves & Fishes Free CafeteriaMeals served at Loaves & Fishes in 2012
Loaves & Fishes is a free cafeteria that serves nutritious dine-in meals for the homeless, poor, working poor, disabled, and elderly. This program provides lunch and dinner Monday through Friday. For residents of Rustic House and Rainbow House, Loaves & Fishes provides all of their meals and bag lunches for those who have obtained gainful employment. The new facility seats over 100 clients and offers ADA-compliant restrooms and seating. The program is currently serving over 12,000 meals per month.

Rainbow House provides emergency shelter and transitional housing for homeless women and homeless women with children. The emergency housing program offers shelter and evaluates participants for the transitional housing program. The transitional program provides a structured, case-managed environment for these women and families to work toward greater self-sufficiency and independent living. When they are ready for independent living, case managers assist with housing searches and follow-up with them for a minimum of six months to assure that they can sustain independent living.

Rustic House provides emergency shelter and transitional housing for homeless men who are mentally and/or physically disabled, and/or elderly. The emergency housing program offers shelter and evaluates participants for the transitional housing program. The transitional housing program provides a structured, case-managed environment for these men to work toward greater self-sufficiency and independent living. When they are ready for independent living case managers assist with housing searches, and the agency provides financial assistance for security and utility deposits, the first month's rent, furniture, and basic household items. The case managers follow-up with them for a minimum of six months to assure that they can sustain independent living.

Vineyard Social Services and
Employment Assistance
Services Given at Vineyard Social & Employment Services in 2012
Vineyard Social Services is the screening and intake center for all social services provided by the agency. Services provided include: Homeless Prevention Assistance (rent, utilities, and deposits), distribution of hygiene products, clothing referrals, information and referral, work clothes, winter jackets and blankets, and case management services. In 2011, Vineyard Social Services had over 4,300 service contacts. It also manages the volunteer opportunities, which are available for individuals and groups.
