Corpus Christi Metro Ministries attempts to respect and preserve a high degree of privacy and confidentiality
throughout our entire agency.
We do not release the names of our donors, except as required by the Internal
Revenue Service on Form 990,
where gifts of over $5000, along with their sources, must be disclosed. However,
we have chosen not to disclose major donors to the public,
a choice allowed by the IRS and adopted by Metro Ministries. This preserves the privacy
and anonymity of our many generous supporters.
We do not disclose the names of our clients, clinic patients, shelter residents
current or past nor any records that may have been kept on them,
unless properly subpoenaed by a court of law or requested by a licensed Texas
Peace Officer for the purpose of completing a
Criminal
Trespass Complaint at Metro Ministries' own initiative. Since our success
with the population we serve often depends on referrals to and networking with
other service providers, we release and accept inter-agency information only
when properly authorized by the individual who presents for assistance.
With respect to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
Annual
Progress Report (APR), outcomes and activities are furnished in numerical
and statistical fashion. In the unlikely event that HUD might require data or
information concerning particular individuals, the client will be de-identified
prior to release of such information.
We do not release personal information about our employees or volunteers without
explicit permission to do so.
It is our practice to furnish "neutral referrals" to prospective employers who are considering job applications from our former employees. However, since most new employees need to undergo some form of training and orientation, Metro Ministries may suggest areas where a new or prospective employer might want to concentrate such training in order to help their new staff to succeed in that new position.
Donations made to Metro Ministries are non-refundable.
